Sofya Sheytelman, 85, of Princeton, died Saturday August 9, 2008 in the University Medical Center At Princeton

Funeral will be held Monday at 11:00am at Star of David Memorial Chapel 40 Vandeventer Ave. Princeton, Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.

Leon Ajzkowicz, 89 of Princeton died Friday , July 4, 2008 at the University Medical Center At Princeton. 

Born in Lodz , Poland ,  he was a resident of Hillside and Long Branch before moving to Princeton in 2007.  Mr. Ajzykowicz was a Holocaust Survivor and a member of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors. He had been on the board of the Workmen’s Circle. He had volunteered at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark with his wife Bella, and attended Temple Beth-El , Long Branch .

Leon was a devoted husband , father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to synagogue, the J C C in Deal for swimming and exercise and enjoyed walking.

Son of the late Isaac and Ida (Shmulevitz) Ajzykowicz, husband of the late Bella Ajzykowicz, he is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons- in- laws , Gloria and Jerry Wiernik of Lawrenceville, Greta and Richard Polonitza of Cranford, 4 grandchildren David, Sherry, Jonathan and Benjamin. Burial was in Menorah Cemetery , Clifton , NJ

Stanley R. Roth, 91 of  Princeton , died Tuesday in the University Medical Center At  Princeton.

Born in New York City , he was a United States Army World War II Veteran. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Pearl Kaplan Roth, a son, 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 10 great –grandchildren.

Graveside service Friday , May 23, 2008, 1:30 p.m. Roosevelt Memorial Park , Trevose ,  PA.

John A. Pronesti, 59 of Pennington, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at Capital Health System at Mercer. He was born in Orange , NJ . 

He is survived by his wife Arlene E. Figatner Pronesti, 2 sons Joseph and Guy Pronesti of Tampa , FL and 2 brothers Nicholas and Anthony Pronesti.

The Funeral Service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Star of David Memorial Chapel of Princeton, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.

Burial will be in Shalom Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley , PA.

SAM ROSENBERG, 88, a merchant and lover of opera, Broadway shows and the sea shore, died May 19 in his Princeton, New Jersey , home. He was 88. Born in Philadelphia , Sam and his wife Thelma, called Nel, ran the Overbrook 5&10 on Haverford Avenue until 1985. Sam enjoyed traveling, good seafood, and was the ultimate “people person.” In 1999, he moved to Princeton to be closer to his son’s family. In New Jersey , Sam volunteered at the Princeton Senior Resource Center , the Princeton Grandpals school-reading program, and for the American Red Cross in New York following 9/11.  Sam loved New York and Philadelphia , especially his Parkside and Northern Liberties roots.

Sam was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nel; his brother, George and sister, Libby Sabsevitz. He is survived by his son, Paul David Rosenberg; daughter-in law Diana Rosenberg; grandson Thomas Jara Rosenberg; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held in Princeton . Arrangements were under the direction of Star of David Memorial Chapel of Princeton.
